LifeLock co-founder infuses capital into Arizona health care IT startup
When Todd Davis, co-founder and former CEO of LifeLock, kept hearing from colleagues about a new health care IT company, he reached out to its founder, Cindy Jordan.
“Nobody seems to get in with Todd Davis, but some of the last co-investors in my first company kept talking to Todd about me,” said Jordan, founder of Tucson-based Pyx Health, a startup focusing on the loneliness and social isolation epidemic. “He calls me and says, ‘I want to find out who you are and what you’re doing.’”
After she got over her initial shock, the two instantly connected.
“We’ve been talking a month,” she said. “We met in Phoenix a few weeks ago.”
Davis said he kept hearing from colleagues that he should meet Jordan.
“I kept hearing this name until a mutual friend Dan Mahoney [a partner at Snell & Wilmer law firm] put us together,” Davis said. “I tried to explain I wasn’t looking for more opportunities to invest in or assist with and I didn’t want to sit on any more boards.”
